Description

"Skylark" is a beautiful recently refurbished dutch sailing tjalk barge built circa 1906. It is being offered for sale on its mooring in the idyllic Springfield Marina, surrounded by nature whilst in London Zone 2.

The mooring is secure, and has ample space for storage, riverside seating, and a generous-sized wood store. Free car parking is available a couple of minutes walk from the boat. Marina facilities include clubhouse, launderette, showers and toilets, as well as water point, fuel, pump-out etc.

The hull was surveyed and blacked in June 2020. The boat will be sold with a new Boat Safety Certificate. Above the waterline the boat has been externally refurbished in June/July 2020 including painting and wood treatments.

The sale of the boat on the mooring will be via Springfield Marina, who will make an additional 10% charge.

VESSEL LAYOUT

Foredeck - LPG gas bottles and regulator fitted to cabin wall. Raised hatch in the centre leads to forepeak with fitted shelves and ample secure storage.
Stern Deck - with engine controls, steering wheel (disconnected), tiller steering aft, floor hatch access to engine compartment, bench seating. Removable half-wheelhouse.
Engine compartment - houses the flexibly mounted Daf 575 six cylinder water cooled diesel,

Entry to cabin via starboard door-

Bathroom, with full-sized bath with mixer shower, basin, and SaniMarin SN35 toilet. The toilet is of the "pump out" style, and has a large tank situated in the engine compartment. Toilet serviced and flexible pipework all replaced in 2018 with rigid.

Kitchen - recently refitted with a full sized LPG gas cooker and kitchen sink, and ample counter/cupboard space. On the starboard side, is a large counter top / breakfast bar facing the wood burning stove.

Living area - with a sofa, recessed shelves, and plenty of storage space. Large ceiling window.

Bedroom - is under the bow deck, and is a warm and cosy space for a double bed.

Equipment

Heating is a Morso Squirrel multi-fuel stove which has a back-boiler connected to brand new pipework feeding two radiators, one in the living area, and one in the bedroom.

Hot water is delivered by a Morco F1-11 EL LPG boiler - fitted in 2018.

Electricity is provided by two large solar panels, feeding a battery of 12 times 2 volt cells, delivering 24V infrastructure supply and several 230V outlets via a 1500W inverter.
