This Bavaria 42 ft has only had one owner, and has never been chartered. Commissioned by the current owner during production, he wanted Bavaria to adapt several things to further strengthen the hull and to expand the capacity for long distance blue water sailing. These include the installation of extra fuel tanks, and the strengthening of the hull with extra laminating of the deck to the hull, stainless ribs running across and glassed in to offer extra stiffness and keel support, and a stainless tube glassed into the bow which extends below and under the waterline for extra collision protection. Gannet also has extra fuel capacity, and the capability to carry larger than Bavarias standard LPG tanks.
Bavaria are renowned for their extremely spacious and luxury interiors, immense head height and large berths. The Main sail is barely used, and was fitted in 2015, but due to COVID and the owners limited use of the boat, the sail has been little used.
The owner of Gannet has recently returned and is a full time liveaboard on Gannet, and he has methodically attended to any requirements that she needs to assure she is ready to go. She is currently in Rebak Marina, Langkawi, and available for viewing at any time. Contact me today for more information.
